What happens to – the garden waste from your brown bin

We take your garden waste to a facility in Wallingford where it is composted.

Our crews load the garden waste onto large outdoor heaps called ‘Open Windrows’. It then takes eight to ten weeks to break down.

The compost made from your garden waste is sold to local farmers to be spread on farmland.
