Resurfacing works at Wallingford Cemetery complete
We have finished carrying out much-needed resurfacing work on the access road to Wallingford Cemetery.
The work took place at the beginning of the year and was completed in just 2.5 weeks, ahead of the four-week schedule.
Photos show the dramatic difference the new paths have made and will help those using or visiting the cemetery.
South Oxfordshire Cemeteries
We have two cemeteries that have consecrated and non-consecrated land:
- Castle Street in Wallingford
- Coopers Pightle in Kidmore End
We have new graves available at the above sites and you can buy the ‘right of burial’ in advance – this is known as ‘exclusive rights of burial’.

Please be aware it is triple charges for exclusive rights if you live outside of South Oxfordshire District Council.

Gravestone, tablet and monumental inscriptions
- Right to erect monument or place memorial stone or kerb stones – £141
- Temporary monument not exceeding 2ft x 2ft x 2ft – £107
- Additional inscriptions – £61
- Memorial plaque for cremated remains – £73.50
