Animal Welfare Licence Appeals

The Council can refuse to give a licence and has powers to suspend, vary or revoke licences where appropriate. If your licence is refused, revoked or varied you can appeal to the First-tier Tribunal in the General Regulatory Chamber.

You have 28 days to appeal after a notice of our decision has been sent to you. The tribunal is independent and can decide to overturn, alter or confirm the council’s decision.
