Developer contributions

Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 agreements

All new developments need infrastructure, such as new roads, schools, community centres and health care facilities, to support the increase of people living and working in the area.

As part of any new site, the property developers must agree to pay money to help the infrastructure to be built.  You can read our delivering infrastructure strategy for more information on how we plan this in our area.

Developers must pay a Community Infrastructure Levy and agree to a Section 106 agreement before they gain planning permission.
