Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs)
South Oxfordshire District Council, like all public sector organisations, has a legal duty to eliminate discrimination, harassment, and victimisation and to advance equality of opportunity while carrying out their functions. This is known as the Public Sector Equality Duty and is contained within the Equality Act (2010).
As part of our corporate plan, the council pledges to work openly and transparently, promoting a world in which all can participate equally and, championing inclusion and diversity. We are committed to completing an Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) to help ensure any decisions, practices, and polices within our councils are fair and do not discriminate against any protected group covered by The Equality Act 2010.
