Chair of the Council

Our current Chair is Cllr Kellie Hinton.

Cllr Kellie Hinton
Chair of the Council

Kellie lives in Henley with her family, including her two children and is one of three Henley Residents Group (HRG) councillors representing the Henley ward. She was first elected as a member of South Oxfordshire District Council in May 2019, serving as a district councillor for over 5 years. She has previously gained experience by chairing the licensing committees and was Vice-Chair of the council for two years prior to becoming Chair. As well as her district council duties, Kellie is also a town councillor. She was first elected on to Henley Town Council in May 2011, serving as a town councillor for over 13 years. Kellie was Mayor of Henley in 2017/18 and most recently in 2023/24. In 2017 Kellie was voted as NALC Star Council’s Young Councillor of the year and was recently elected to serve on the NALC Larger Councils committee.

As well as her passion for community service, Kellie really enjoys spending time on the river and is passionate about improving the quality of the water. She relaxes by listening and singing along (badly) to music whilst she cooks and believes there is nothing better than a good book! Her favourite place to be is Mill Meadows in Henley.

As Chair, Kellie will be raising money and awareness for her chosen charities. This year, the Chair’s charities are Riverside Counselling, Nomad and Project 90/10. You can find out more about these charities below:
