Rehearsals begin for Cornerstone’s magical pantomime
Published 9 December 2024
This weekend the excitement was palpable, as rehearsals for Cornerstone Arts Centre’s pantomime, Cinderella began!
It was a particularly magical occasion as it was the first time the talented local young cast who make up Team Cinders and Team Buttons met and worked alongside the professional performers.
Brought to life by KD Theatre Productions, Cinderella offers a dazzling mix of sparkling costumes, comedy, and show-stopping songs for all ages. Running from Wednesday 18 to Tuesday 31 December, it’s set to be the must-see event of the season.
Daniel Bell, Producer at KD Theatre Productions, said: “We are having a great time bringing the magic to life for everyone this Christmas, and you can expect an incredible show full of joy, laughter, and festive cheer. It’s going to be a truly unforgettable experience!”
Cllr Georgina Heritage, Cabinet Member for Communities at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “This production is such an exciting opportunity for our local young talent to shine. It’ll be wonderful to see audiences come to Cornerstone this Christmas and celebrate together.
“Tickets are selling fast, so grab your glass slippers and don’t miss your chance to see this magical festive adventure!”
Cornerstone is a venue accessible to everyone and wants everyone to enjoy this wonderful production, so there is A free Touch Tour on Saturday 28 December at 1pm before the 2.30pm matinee to enable those with visual impairments to meet the cast so they can help them understand what the characters look like and to feel the costumes and props.
There’s also a relaxed and signed performance of Cinderella on Sunday 29 December at 1pm, providing a supportive environment for those with sensory or communication needs.
